Keron Alleyne, a gardener and community organizer in East New York, Brooklyn is running in the midterm elections Democratic primary to represent Brooklyn’s 60th District in the New York State Assembly. Alleyne is running in the hotly-contested race against Nikki Lucas to fill Charles Barron’s vacated seat.
It is a race to watch as the two candidates are backed by the Democratic establishment the progressive wing of the party.
